Werner Meyer

I am Werner Meyer, co-founder of Meyer Felton Biokinetics, holding honours degrees in Biokinetics and Sport Science from the University of the Free State.

Since founding my practice in 2015, my mission has been to empower individuals to enhance their performance. I specialise in orthopaedic conditions, continually updating my knowledge with the latest advancements, highlighted by my attendance at the inaugural International ACL Rehabilitation Conference in 2023 at Aspetar Hospital in Doha, Qatar.

My practice welcomes individuals of all ages, providing bespoke services that range from pre- and post-operative rehabilitation to chronic pain management. At Meyer Felton Biokinetics, we commit to offering treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practices to ensure you receive the utmost quality of care. I am particularly passionate about aiding the elderly in maintaining their health and vitality.

Co-Founder

Lorenzo Felton

My name is Lorenzo Felton, and my academic journey in human movement science and biokinetics commenced at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) in 2010.

Following my graduation, I achieved an Honours degree in Biokinetics, which allowed me to gain valuable experience in treating a diverse range of patients, from students to athletes, during my internship. I am a proud member of the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the Biokinetics Association of South Africa (BASA), reflecting my dedication to professional excellence.

My background includes working as the strength and conditioning coach for the NMMU 1st team hockey, where I also played. I furthered my experience in health and nutrition abroad the Steiner Cruise Line, and later contributed to the Boland Cavaliers rugby team’s first-division Currie Cup victory in 2023 as their head strength and conditioning coach. In 2018, I supported the University of Cape Town (UCT) hockey team to a gold medal win at the University of Sport South Africa (USSA) tournament.

Since 2017, I have specialised in final phase rehabilitation and conditioning in private practice, enjoying the opportunity to work with individuals and groups of all ages, particularly children, applying my skills to make a positive impact on their health and well-being.

Biokineticist

Handré Oosthuizen

My name is Handré Oosthuizen, a biokineticist driven by a passion for enhancing well-being through personalised care. My educational journey in Sports Science began at Stellenbosch University, leading me to a fulfilling career. At the same time, my service in the South African National Defence Force, focusing on physical training and sports recreation, instilled in me a deep sense of discipline and dedication.

Following my military service, I pursued an Honours degree in Biokinetics at the University of the Western Cape, broadening my expertise. My aim is to make a positive impact on individuals’ lives through tailored rehabilitation programmes, with a particular focus on shoulder and knee injuries.

Biokineticist

Aimee Pousson

I am Aimee Pousson, a committed biokineticist at Meyer & Felton, with my roots in KwaZulu-Natal.

My academic path took me through Sports Science at Stellenbosch University, leading to an Honours degree in Biokinetics. My passion lies in rehabilitation; there is immense joy in seeing patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. Beyond the science, I value the meaningful connection made with people from all walks of life.

My experience includes working with high-performance athletes, notably with the Sharks rugby team, and I have a keen interest in managing chronic conditions mainly focusing on stroke rehabilitation.

My practice is focused on evidence-based exercise and movement principles, with a strong emphasis on holistic well-being. I am thrilled to be part of the exceptional team at Meyer Felton Biokinetics and look forward to making a significant contribution to the fields of biokinetics and rehabilitation.
